Spell circles represent the various types, or schools, of magic. The circles are broken into two primary categories: those containing spells joined by a certain element and those containing spells with similar effects. Each circle grants access to a number of related spells. Some spells will be available in more than one circle, whereas others will be unique to a single circle. The more you invest in a particular school, the larger your circle becomes, giving you a larger number of spells as well as access to more powerful spells. The spell circles are distinct but not completely independent. Where two circles overlap, they create spells which may not be available in any single school. Thus each sorcerer must balance the strengths of focusing on a single circle of magic against the unique advantages of diversity.
